Abandoned, Adopted, Addicted and Redeemed
An immersive, 7-scene walk-through drama based on the powerful true story of Wenonah "Paulette" Sorrell.
Event Overview & Story
Event Overview & Story
From October 15 through October 17, experience a gripping narrative of loss, addiction, and ultimate redemption. Written by Tom and Karen Hudgins in cooperation with Paulette Sorrell, this walk-through drama guides audiences through seven immersive scenes detailing her 29-year struggle with addiction and the divine grace that set her free.
Abandoned in an airport bathroom as an infant by a mother struggling with substance abuse, Paulette was later adopted at age four into a loving Christian family. Despite a supportive home, she eventually succumbed to a 29-year struggle with severe drug addiction. The script pulls no punches, portraying the dark reality of addiction, incarceration, and loss, before ultimately showing how faith, a praying mother, and divine grace brought her to complete redemption, peace, and freedom.
Tom Hudgins
Co-Playwright
"This story shows that no matter how deep into the pit of addiction or sin someone may fall, there is always hope and a way out."
